Does your website need a new look? Does it need new content? There are times when a web designer hits on a timeless design which looks fresh and up to date for years, without the need for major changes. Many times, however, this is not the case - there are many web sites which at the time they were designed looked great - but some years later have lost their appeal and need a fresh start. One of the most embarrassing examples of websites in need for a makeover? well ... the site you are looking at right now:

Old Website

The image on the left shows the original home page for Centrepage Designbefor the makeover. The links in the top corners are images, where it would have been more beneficial to have text links, the central image looks rather faint and coarse.

The prominent links on the page are links to our local area sites and directories ... nothing wrong with promoting these, but it would have been more beneficial to give the main focus to the services the company is offering. Let's face it, not a look which does well to promote web design services. Just like the mechanic who never gets around to sort out his own car, we have been busy working for our customers - until the look of the old site got just a bit too embarrassing ... do you like then new one?

New Website

The image on the left is a screen print of the new Centrepage Design Website. It makes use of background images for continuous branding throughout the site yet uses subtle colours for this not to be intrusive (that's what we think ... are we right? Email Us!)

The focus on the home page is on the various areas of work the company is involved in ... website design, website makeovers, content management and website promotion, but does not leave the locality sites and directories for the west Wales area behind - a new and well balanced (we hope) look which tells the visitor on the first page what the website and the company is about, with easy to follow links to the more detailed information pages.
